Welcome to the February 2007 issue. We are looking forward to Spring here in the East Tennessee Valley. Spring brings new and exciting events to the area.
Pigeon Forge
Springfest 2007 begins the second week of March and continues through the first two weeks of June. This event has many fun things to see and do that you will want to include in your vacation plans. Check out more information at www.pigeonforgespringfest.com.
A Mountain Quiltfest
Pigeon Forge hosts the 13th Annual “A Mountain Quiltfest” March 14-18, 2007. This event welcomes over 20,000 visitors from around the country each spring. It offers the unique opportunity to see creative quilts made by highly talented quilters and to attend classes and lectures taught by some of the nation’s most recognizable names. A Mountain Quiltfest 2007 plans 70+ instructional sessions with 8 master instructors. Enjoy viewing the 300 quilts that will be on display. CAR SHOWS
Car shows are a favorite in Pigeon Forge. Beginning in April and continuing through September, Pigeon Forge will host several hot rod and classic auto “rod runs.” Here is list of 2007 car show events (dates and shows are subject to change without notice):

When you stay at Laurel Glen cabin or Pine Cone Lodge, you will be convenient to Pigeon Forge and these car shows. Both cabins have ample parking facilities to accommodate your cars, trailers, and motorcycles.

COMING SOON
Zorb is coming to the USA and the first location will be Zorb Smoky Mountains, located at 203 Sugar Hollow Road, Pigeon Forge. This adventure sport originated in New Zealand. For more information and pictures, check out the website www.zorb.com/smoky/index.html.

A GREAT DESSERT RECIPE
Easy Banana Pudding
2 packages instant banana pudding
3 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
1 medium carton Cool Whip
Bananas
Vanilla wafers
Mix the instant pudding and milk until stiff. Add the sour cream and Cool Whip. Layer vanilla wafers and bananas with the pudding. You can also use an additional carton of Cool Whip to “ice” the top of the pudding.
